		<description>"If you can avoid it" is the operative term here.  There are thousands of people who, because they can't pay hundreds of dollars an hour for an attorney, don't have access to the legal system.  There are couples still married because divorce is expensive, people who die without wills, fraud and other torts going unpunished, etc.  While I'd prefer a system where one insular group didn't have a monopoly on the use of the courts (currently, it's illegal to pay anyone other than a Bar licensed lawyer to represent you in court, and only lawyers can file certain documents), I'm glad that they're at least relaxing the requirements enough to allow a little more access.
