Marta blogs vicariously again. She sent me this charming article from the New York Times Magazine about bridge and Ayn Rand. It turns out that one of the world’s best players is an objectivist and says he owes his success to the Russian novelist’s philosophy. I enjoyed the piece for the peek it gives into the world of “professional” bridge playing. Not surprisingly, it seems to attract passionate eccentrics as much as objectivism.
