		<description>The Marlins did win three more games than the Cubs during the regular season, and did win their first-round series in four games instead of five. I saw the Cubs-Marlins series as an even match with no prohibitive favorite.

I don't know why any non-Yankees fan would root against the Marlins. They have the decided advantage of not being evil. I'm not surprised by the reaction you saw considering you're the Northeast corridor where I'm sure many former New Yorkers live and play.

By the way, the Marlins are not just playing on heart. They've got a lot of talented players.
