Checking in after a long time...

Jerry, I was dead serious...in that what I said ain't that far from how many Americans think. This ain't me, I was playing a part...apparently quite convincingly :)

Holy crap, dude, are you serious? There's "folly in questioning one's leaders"? I don't think Thomas Jefferson or Jesus Christ would agree with you. Me, I question irrationality and injustice wherever it comes from--my leaders or otherwise. As for Tim's comment, he was being sarcastic. And it's not pride that allows America to not have to hide its weapons (I'm sure the Koreans and Iranians are pretty proud), it's because we have more of them than anyone else and can therefore flaunt them. Can you blame Iran for wanting nukes when it has the U.S. on three of its borders? -JB

Jerry, you might be correct about Powell & Bush's ability to convince the world, which is all the more reason for us Americans to continue to trust them implicitly. If we don't show the world the folly in questioning one's leaders then we don't deserve to lead the free world.

Tim, America doesn't have a covert weapons program, it doesn't need to. Americans aren't ashamed of their weapons so have no reason to hide them. If this offends others then their opinion obviously doesn't matter. As for installing a hand-picked democracy, I'm proud to inform you that, with our current Administration, we're closer than we may have ever been to the ideal of such a democracy.

You know...I have a strong suspicion that America has a convert weapons programme, whad'ya think?

Perhaps the rest of the world should get together and do someting about that. We could impose sanctions unless a team of international weapons inspectors is allowed full and unfettered access to the entire country, and if they can't find anything we could just blow up some "suspicious" looking buildings...or invade...install a hand-picked democracy...and then get America to pay us back for helping them out.

...then again, maybe not. Its a crazy idea, madness...what was I thinking?
