I read your article on the Constitutional defense of Megans Law dated 2002. Not all sexual offenders should have to register when they are released . If an offender did not sexually violate a child and the state and court system have said he or she has paid their time why should they have to go on a registry? Do we make former drug addicts who were convicted of selling drugs to children register when they get out? This is all a scare tactic. Most people are ignorant and uninformed of the difference between a sexual offender and a predator, I was. There are many who get out have true remorse and do not reoffend yet their label must follow them even if they never had parole or probation. I am a parent. If you are labled a predator yes I want you on the list. If you reoffend I want you on the list. This is the crime of the time especially in the state of Florida.
