Anyone else notice Venezuela is one of the few South American countries
not getting the iPhone? Wonder if it has anything to do with last year’s
nationalization of the phone company there.
After recently reading Jonathan Rauch’s excellent
Government’s End, I’ve been pretty depressed about the perpetual motion machine that is rent-seeking in Washinton. But
via Jacob Grier today I got some of the happiest news I’ve had in a long time: “After 60 years, the Men’s Dress Furnishings Association, the trade group that represents American tie makers, is expected to shut down Thursday.” This is a win for liberty on soooo many fronts.
