This is an aside titled 'No iPhone for Chavez' dated 6/10/08

Anyone else notice Venezuela is one of the few South American countries not getting the iPhone? Wonder if it has anything to do with last year’s nationalization of the phone company there.

    Jerry, I could not figure where that map came from (what language is that, anyways) but I can assure you that as of today iPhone is still not officially available in Brazil.

    Luis- The map shows the countries in which Apple will release the iPhone later this year. Brazil should get it in the 3rd or 4th quarter. Venezuela, however, won’t get it at all. The language was Greek, BTW. -JB
